ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome!
I’m Elena Lander, an international actress based in Milan, shaped by a multicultural background and a truly European identity. Fluent in English, Italian, Russian, and Hebrew, I work naturally across languages and cultures, bringing depth, precision, and versatility to every role.
I am drawn to strong, complex women with layered inner lives: career-driven professionals, doctors, journalists, and intelligence operatives, as well as warm, emotionally grounded characters navigating transformation, motherhood, and personal change. I thrive in roles that balance emotional intensity with subtlety and restraint.
My recent work includes the award-winning feature The Best Century of My Life
(dir. Alessandro Bardani), the lead role in Settimo Grado (dir. Massimo Cappelli), as well as roles in the series I Fratelli Corsaro and Stucky.
In 2024, I completed a Master’s degree in Creative Production and wrote and directed my short film Doppia Sfida, which has been officially selected for the Cyprus International Film Festival (CYIFF) and will celebrate its worldwide premiere on September 23, 2025, in Nicosia.
Born in Moscow into a Jewish family, I graduated with a degree in acting, trained in the traditions of Stanislavski, Vakhtangov, and Chekhov. After immigrating to Israel in 2009, I expanded into television as a presenter, gaining thousands of hours of live on-air experience.
Beyond the set, I am full of energy and curiosity: running half-marathons, dancing salsa and bachata, and, admittedly, indulging in far too much pistachio ice cream. Because every strong character needs at least one sweet flaw.

The premise of the story centers around an absurd Italian law that prevents adoptees like Giovanni (played by Valerio Lundini) from learning the identity of their biological parents until their 100th birthday. In order to change this law, Giovanni seeks the help of 100-year-old Gustavo (played by Sergio Castellitto), the only living person who has also faced these restrictions. Gustavo, however, expresses no interest in finding out the identity of his birth mother, putting Giovanni's plans at risk. Elena Lander plays the role of Alina, Gustavo's nurse who inspires in him protective feelings. Before beginning his journey, Gustavo leaves Alina a gift as an expression of his deep affection.
The film “Il più bel secolo della mia vita” won the main Gryphon Award in the Generator +18 category at the Giffoni Film Festival in 2023.

At the center of the story is the father (played by Giorgio Pasotti), his cold and mysterious partner (played by Elena Lander), and their mute daughter (Mia McGovern Zaini), who only communicates with the world through her nanny, who’s fluent in sign language.
The film screened at the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest and the Maratea Film Festival, and won the best film award at the CROFFI Film Festival in 2024.
